Why you should measure the food for your dog or cat
Of course, it is easy to fill the bowl with dry or wet food so that your animal can eat it all day long- however, uncontrolled feeding has some disadvantages that can affect the well-being and health of your fur nose.
1. Hold a healthy weight
Did you know that, according to studies, almost every second dog and every third cat in Germany is overweight? The main cause: overfeeding. It is not that difficult to prevent this - with a simple trick: cradle or measure the feed. So you make sure that your four -legged friend gets the amount he or she needs. This is easy with our 2in1 measuring and drinking cup from Cup stories . Simply balance the cup, measure the corresponding feed for your animal and remember the dog or cat symbol at the level of the level. And best of all: the mug is also a stylish drinking cup for you! (Rinse briefly between animal and human use.)
2. The right nutrients are essential
The food of your fur nose and the feeding recommendation are tailored to certain quantities. Too much or too little can lead to deficiency symptoms or oversupply in the long term (e.g. for vitamins or calories). Feeding recommendations on the packaging are a good guideline - but not a dogma. Age, weight, level of activity and health play a major role in the ideal amount of feed. Especially with diet, kidney or allergy nuts, exact dosage is crucial. And especially if you have several animals, you can capture more precisely with a controlled feeding, which eats how much of your four -legged friends.
Tip: Let your animal weigh regularly and speak to the veterinarian to optimally adjust the feed ration.
3. Measure the feed = avoid remnants
If you feed too much, you often throw the remains away - or the bowl is eaten empty, even though it was too much. Both cases are not ideal, because either food is wasted or your fur nose eats more than it is supposed to. Bonus: Portion control saves money! Anyone who drops the food of their animal can better plan their feed supply and save in the long term.
Conclusion: love goes through the stomach - but please dose
Your dog or cat will thank you - with more energy, a shiny fur and maybe even a few extra cuddly units. Measuring takes up hardly any time, but brings a lot of advantages. So: measuring cup out, bowl filled, and good appetite!

I'm like to know what is an advisable portion if you combine dry and wet food. We now use the sacks of 100g in combination with dry food. Our Cat is an in -house cat of about 5kg, but a morge general instruction is probably welcome for other as well
This is a very good Question, Thank you for Reaching Out! When feeding a combination of wet and dry food, It's Often Recommended to Give Two-Thirds Wet Food and One-Third Dry Food. To do this, you can feed about one-third of the Recommended Daily Amount of Dry Food. For the wet food, you can also Follow the feeding guidelines and provides Two-Thirds of the Suggested Amount. Of course, the exactly Nutritional Needs Still Depend On Your Cat's Age and Activity Level. We Hope This Can Help You! 🙂
