The MAC's history
Thirty years ago, the MAC's story began with Canadian dry food, five sled dogs, and a keen sense of what was needed. Werner Koller started by importing high-quality pet food from the USA and later from Canada. At the same time, his sons Michael and Markus were racing sled dogs with their Alaskan Huskies. Since Huskies need to drink water before a race, a high-energy meat product was developed in collaboration with a small butcher shop in nearby Düren, Germany, to meet the specific needs of these sporting dogs. This product was initially marketed as wet food to sled dog racers. Very soon, due to demand from owners of more active dogs, a range of wet food based on meat and rice was created. From this range, the MAC's brand was born, a brand now loved by so many furry friends.
In 2016, the company management was handed over to the two sons, Michael and Markus Koller . After completing their studies, they followed in their father's footsteps and represent the new generation at Pro Pet. Their sister Christiane remains involved behind the scenes, and Werner and Veronika Koller are always available to offer advice and support.
Due to steady growth, Michael and Markus Koller decided in 2018 to open a production facility in the Eifel region. A wet food production plant was established in Schleiden-Gemünd. The brothers are working diligently on developing and expanding their existing product range.
The production plant has the advantage of significantly shorter transport routes. This allows for more environmentally friendly operations and production with considerably lower CO2 emissions.

MAC's dog biscuits – no baking required!
Celebrate 30 years of MAC's with us and try our delicious dog biscuit recipe. Your dog will love it!
Ingredients
lactose-free cottage cheese or quark
1-2 grated carrots
preparation
Line a cake tin with parchment paper and spread some wet food on the bottom. Then spread a layer of cottage cheese or quark over the wet food and sprinkle it with grated carrots. Next, spread about a handful of MAC 's dry food on top, as the dry food will bind the cake together. Add another layer of wet food, and if you like, you can add further layers of cottage cheese and wet food. Your cake can be flatter or taller, just as you or your furry friend prefer.
Finally, decorate your cake with a few Meat Bits or Mono Snacks. If you like, and want it to be extra decorative, you can fill a piping bag with some (dog) liverwurst and decorate your MAC's dog cake with pretty dots.
Important: The cake needs to chill in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving, but don't serve it too cold to your dog.

How many dog biscuits can my dog eat?
Our MAC's dog biscuits are intended only for very special occasions and multiple dogs, as they are very high in calories. Overweight dogs should receive a correspondingly smaller portion of their normal daily ration.
How MACmacdog biscuit keep?
The cake will keep for 3-4 days in the refrigerator, but be sure to take it out 1-2 hours before serving. Very cold food can cause stomach aches in dogs.
